Hi, I recently borrowed an external hard drive (Seagate Baracuda with Enermax box) formatted in MacosJournaled to a friend. He used it without any problems with an iMac and a Windows PC. When I got it back and tried to connect to my macbook I was getting all the time a kernel panic screen. I tried to use it with a windows pc with MacDrive so as to save my files but there was only recognized a new hard drive formatted in... RAW format and of course without any files. Is there a way to save my files?

thank you

Is it possible to take the drive out of the case and plug it directly into the windows machine, the kernel panics suggests there is something funky with enclosure.

On the PC, you can try HFSExplorer. (First link from Google search.)
