Any solutions to Panasonic HDC-SD9 problems?

Hey folks,

I just bought a Panasonic HDC-SD9. It's gorgeous. The problem is that importing the video causes both iMovie '08 and Final Cut Pro to crash. Here is more specific info: http://www.simplydv.co.uk/simplyBB/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=20324&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

Has anyone found a fix, heard from Apple or Panasonic regarding the problem, or have any news at all? Also, I know of the workaround using a certain program to convert the AVCHD to .Mov.

Thanks, I'm kind of anxious and starved for information!
