Any AT&T stores, Best Buy, Walmart, Apple, etc. letting you pay full price (no contract) for the 5 now? My dad's not eligible for an upgrade, and a lot of us were going to chip in for his birthday and buy one for him.

Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc. let you do that. Either way, the Apple store sells them factory unlocked (officially) now so you can indeed buy it full price from them as well.

I can't find it on apple's website. Isn't the 16GB 5 $699.99? Was hoping some of those other stores other than Apple would have it. Slightly bad weather out and the nearest Apple store is about 30 minutes away.

Anyone know the no contract price for the 4s? That would probably be plenty good for my dad.

Thanks

It's always been available since you have an account and are doing a full price upgrade. Just go to Apple and get a Device Only upgrade. It will be unlocked and will not affect the existing contract.

Here Hope This Helps

30 minute drive to pick up from Apple is well worth it. It will be the least price and in case of problems it is handy to have bought there. You can order online and pickup from the local Apple store.

Thanks for the replies, everyone! Much appreciated. I'm working today so I'll pass this on to my sister.
