I'm going to be putting my Mac Pro and 30" ACD on eBay pretty soon but I don't know how much to put down for the shipping. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get (reasonable) quotes from?

Its about 35kg worth in total and will need to be insured to £2500ish.

Parcel2go.com does cheapish delivery and you can add insurance.
There is also an eBay shop that does cheap delivery but I think after you add on the insurance it might be as much as Parcel2go. Their eBay shop is payperdrop.

Both the above use DHL. Might be cheaper if you split delivery up though, just a thought.

ParcelForce 48 with £2500 compensation is £89.99

Most of the bigger items on eBay are collection only. When I sold my Power Mac G5 on there, the carriage would have been over £50 but the buyer picked it up from my home.

I'd just put it up for local collection, or personally deliver to a radius which you're comfortable travelling (provided you have transport)

I sent a desktop through the post once... never again. Not worth the hassle.
