Any suggestions on the cause of this?

Good morning all,

Just returned from a month away and when I fired up the iMac, it was running for a bit and then this appeared.

Just FYI, I live in Japan and we have some pretty significant humidity levels but I left the air conditioners on low so it was quite chilly in the house but the de-humidifier was off.

I did end up turning on the de-humidifier and it went away but I am hoping it won't return.

Looks like moisture on the glass (either on the inside or outside). If you see that on the glass, I'd be a little concerned its on the electronics as well.

I am thinking the same thing. I have had the de-humidifier running in the office since I returned and haven't had it return nor had any issues with the iMac since.

I will continue to monitor it (no pun intended).
