Off the top of my head there’s eBay, Gazelle, and swappa. I don’t like swappa tbh.

Anywhere else?

It’s in great shape and works well.

I kept mine as a backup phone and an iPod when I got my X.. What wrong with swappa if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve had good luck in the past using them to sell my old devices...

All the other options are suitable except for eBay in my opinion. I don’t prefer eBay, because the amount of fraud that is on there for the over demanding popularity for iPhone scams. It’s at your own risk and many have had issues that ultimately have caused them lost money and the hassle of dealing with dishonest buyers. But the same could be said with any other selling site, but eBay I think has more notoriety in this area for those type of concerns.

Macrumors also has a marketplace forum to sell
Being you meet the requirements:

I prefer swappa. Offerup now has a shipping option too. Customer cans still try to scam you though.
[doublepost=1534408897][/doublepost]Can also try selling in the marketplace forum here.

When I do sell Apple stuff is is always on Craigs List. Meet at a coffee shop and walk away with hard cash. eBay has turned into a nest of scammers, when it comes to Apple it is even worst! With Craig's List it is free with no fees.

I am pretty sure that the OP knows where and how to sell his phone, been around here for a while.

Agreed, anything electronic these days is hackable and/or able to be used in a scam. I just read about some people being swindled out of iPhone X’s just after release last year by accepting payment on Venmo. The “buyer” simply retracted the payment the next day.

EDIT: Also, someone tried to swindle me out of my extra iPhone X before I just returned it. I wasn’t planning on scalping it, but I was afraid that I might not be able to get even one. Sent me a text and offered to pay me $50 OVER what I had asked. Wanted me to accept a “cashier’s check”.

Finally, in person and CASH only.

Something else, _if_ you choose to sell locally, try to meet at the store of the Phone carrier. That Way if anyone has questions from both parties, you have the store as a reference and leverage, and they can verify any information you need as long as you have the account information and verify your identity, that way both parties walk away knowingly there won’t be any issues with the transfer or potential questions about the Phone.

It does not take long to weed out the tire kickers on CL. Anything is better than selling on eBay and the buyer claiming you sent an empty box.

Meeting up with someone to sell my iPhone gives me anxiety. I hate the idea of meeting up with a stranger at the coffee shop and him testing it out and so on. Would much rather go through a middle man (like eBay) and avoid face to face interaction, even though I'm going to avoid ebay because of all the things said on here about the scammers.

I've sold my 3GS and 4 through CL. It's not hard, just simply follow common sense.
1. Only deal with cash
2. Meet at a public place (eg. starbucks)

I just trade mine in to Best Buy and eliminate all the anxiety. Just did a 7 today.

I had no idea you could do a trade in at Best Buy? Do they give good prices?

So you can trade it in for a new phone? Or how does it work?

I’ve found the best place to sell is on Facebook marketplace. You meet the person and can have cash in hand.

Avoid eBay like the plague if you’re a seller! You can get screwed good and proper by the many scammers on there and eBay nearly always sides with the buyer.

Store credit. 230.00. You can look your iPhone up on their website. Using it toward a new watch.

Anxiety is when you ship your phone to the winner and he says the box was empty or the phone does not work and files a claim against your PayPal funds. I have sold multiple devices on Craig’s list without a single problem. No fees!

This is why CL wins for me. I've tried ebay and Amazon marketplace, and when you add on shipping, often times you end up with less than what you were hoping for at minimum. I'd rather do CL and deal with the locals. Plus, Apple stuff usually sells very quickly.

You can bet that you will get way more money by selling yourself. Best Buy is great if your don’t want to deal with selling, just do not expect them to give you much.

With a bit of “weeding out” of some of the responders to your ad in CL, you can sell for much more.
