I'm trying to sync up my wife's iPhone 4 to her MacBook, in prep for the 5.0.1 upgrade.

The first time I tried this it started downloading 5.0.1 - I didn't click cancel. During the download the machine ran out of room on the HD.

I cancelled the upgrade and cleaned up the Trash and such to free up some room.

Then I tried a sync. During the backup it filled up all the room and failed. So then I started going through the Downloads folder looking for stuff to get rid of.

Then I tried another sync. Once again the backup filled up the drive. So then I got REALLY aggressive, deleting old apps and logs and such.

And it filled up again.

I *suspect* there are leftover files from this process that are causing the problem. There's a partial 5.0.1 download somewhere, and maybe a bunch of partial backups?

Where are these things? Googleing states the backups are in a folder called MobileSync, but that folder does not exist on either of our machines. I can't find any good reference to where the download is supposed to be (Downloads?!)
