Any Thoughts on the NEW "rfMOUSEjr" from MacAlly?

I was wondering if any of you have or have any thoughts on the new wireless optical mouse from MacAlly "rfMOUSEjr "?
I'm on the market for a wireless mouse for my Ti powerbook G4, have tried the Kensington Pocket Mouse Pro , but found it's behavior unacceptable to my liking, every few minutes of innactivity it goes to sleep and the next time you use it, you have to shake it and click any button first, the second wireless mouse I got was a Memorex Optical Trav Mouse , it worked fine for a while until it started to skip on the screen and sometimes after you unplug the USB transmitter and plug it back in, you have to reset the IDs on the transmitter and the mouse, and also it would stop responding after I plug mu computer to charge my battery, but it works great on an iBook, but not on my Ti Pb G4. There you have it folks, sorry to blab so much. Any thought?

I agree that is a very handsome mouse, I would buy it however I like my MS intellimouse and its not worth it to upgrade

feedback on my own question

Hi folks, just wanted to let you all know of my experience with this new "Cool looking Mouse" the "rfMOUSEjr by MacAlly. Well I went to Fry's electronics and bought it! took it home and tried it, at first everything worked just fine, but as I worked with it more I realized a problem, every once in a while I would drag something on the screen or just make a folder's window wider to see all my files, and the mouse would stick and the cursor would not let go of the window until i clicked a couple of times, then it would behave of for another 5 mins or so, that alone made me realize that this mouse was not for me, so sadly enough its going back to the store tomorrow and I'll be waiting for a good "Bluetooth" mouse instead, since I just got one of those tiny Belkin USB "Bluetooth" adapters, works great! with my Sony Ericsson phone, I can upload pictures to it and can even use my phone to control my mac and apps like iTunes, DVD Player via my phone, really NICE!

mine worked fine...

I read your post, mine just came in this morning, I installed into my iMac DV 400, ibook 500 and my iBook 800, had no trouble resizing windows, tried the second button no problem even the scroll wheel worked fine, but if theres any sign of trouble i will email you about it just in case its a time delayed glitch, otherwise you could of had a bad one,
I like the size, its a speedier mouse than the pro, but for the ibook is fine. I will let you know of anything and for now Peace.

The mouse comes with an assignment app...

The control app for the mouse gets installed on the hardrive, and its basically an app to assign different functions for the buttons and to adjust the speed of the mouse and scroll wheel, like the powermate except the powermate you adjust it through the pref panel, this one gets installed on your hardive. and I think the reason your windows where getting stuck is that one of your buttons was assigned a click lock. The wheel is also a press down button, you may assign different functions for multiple apps. like I assigned the scroll button down for opening Mail, since its the first one I open everyday, in Safari I assigned "back" to the scroll wheel (down press) and the second button "forward", the scroll feature scrolls, so on so forth. I adjusted the speed to match the speed of the Apple Pro Mouse and it works fantastically, no difference between the wireless either in terms of syncronization,
there is no delay factor, now I have to do all the adjustments on my iBook 800 for which is was intended for, but Im getting comfortable with it for my desktop imac DV 400 (soon to be 900mgz thanks to Link gear,http://powerlogix.com/press/releases/2003/030508.html

Yea, I tried that too...

I thought it may be that, but no luck, I even reset it to the "Defaults" nothing fancy, but again no luck. I'm now looking for a good Bluetooth mouse, anyone know of any? is that Bluetooth M$ the only one? and does it even work with Mac?

sorry to hijack this topic, but...

use the sony ericsson phone, to control the dv player? itunes?

it looks nice but

i hate rf mouses because they have lots of bugs.

they always loose the signal and it causes the mouses to skip, lock and so on

if you want to use an alternative desktop mouse or a new mouse for your portable buy optical mouses with cables.

they dont need batteries and they are very accurate.

you dont have to worry about the power consumption of the mouse and the mass of it.
