Was searching Amazon but can't find any Thunderbolt external HDs? Is anyone aware of any?

These are correct. Thunderbolt external HDDs are going to be a few years before they're affordable for the common user, I imagine. Fortunately, port replicators that may allow us to use FireWire on our MBAs should be around soon- Apple is essentially tacking that onto their new Thunderbolt displays. This is my biggest hope to get a high speed connection through my MBA soon!
