Any word about an updated Time Capsule coming out? Not firmware updates, I mean a true hardware update; it's closing in on 2 years since the current version came out.

I wouldn't want it to get around, but I heard from the usual reliable sources that the next generation will, in addition to it's current functions, be able to cook a chocolate soufflé and clean up the cat's litter box.

Remember...you heard it here first! :p

There is code in OS X 10.8.4 for 802.11ac wifi. So one can assume the next Macs will support that new standard. So then I guess the next logical assumption is if Apple sells a Mac with 802.11ac, they will release a new Time Capsule for it to work with.

My guess is new Mac portables with Haswell chipsets and 802.11ac in June/July and new 802.11ac Airport Extreme and Time Capsules at the same time.
