I am converting over to a MacBook in a couple days and I was just wondering if anyone had any general maintenance tips both physically and internally for the laptop. I understand no viruses no virus removal programs deal but other than that should I be concerned with anything else? IE. I'm used to defraging every now and then and cleaning up temporary internet files etc.

Anything? Anyone? Cleaning tips?

Not a whole helluva lot needs to be done with OS X maintenance, but there are a few apps like Onyx X and Macaroni out there that are quite nice. Really I use Macaroni just so I know when the old unix maintenance scripts (cron scripts) were last run.

No need for a novel but what exactly do those specific apps do?
