This is kinda hard to explain, so please bare with me. My father uses the iPad to message and FaceTime me and other people in the family. The problem is, my messages or FaceTime does not go through; however, when he initiates the FaceTime it goes through. I also receive his messages, but he does not receive mine.

I have tried deleting our contact information, but that didn't help. I thought it would be because we are on different versions of iOS; however, other people have the same version of iOS as me and they don't have any problems.

Anybody know how i can fix this problem?
 
Are you on his ICloud account? Sounds like you might be. Look in settings and make sure that "your" name/email/iCloud is checked as to receiving and or sending FaceTime and Messages.
