I used them when I got my first gen MacBook Pro a year or so ago.

Unfortunately, the shipping company phoned me and asked me to pay the customs charges up front (and I think they also charged for the pleasure), so the saving wasn't as great as it could have been.

That was a while ago though, so things may have improved.

Err... no that's the standard procedure on overseas imports -- you will pay VAT, any duties, and a brokerage fee for the paperwork, and that's payable in advance before your package is released to you.
