Curious if there are any solutions available to enable HiDPi on an external monitor hooked up to an M1 Macbook Air.

I'm using a QHD monitor and the text is still grainy /blurry.

Thanks,

I bought my M1 Air and hooked it up to my old 1080 monitor and it was horrible so I bought a 32 LG QHD from Costco. The text was blurry and straining my eyes. Also, the monitor was too big for where I sent at desk and was moving my neck way too much. I then posted somewhere on this site and learned that I needed 4K monitor to make the text sharp and scale to 1920 x 1080 so I could actually read the text. I bought an LG 27 4K and everything looks great and the text is sharp.

QHD on a 27" screen is not HiDPI (High Dots Per Inch), therefore the HiDPI options will not be available on those monitors.

This issue is YPbPr, not HiDPI. Unfortunately, there's no solution for that problem.

You shouldn't be getting fuzzy text on a QHD monitor. This is an M1 bug.
