Hi Guys,

I am a new new Macbook owner and I would like to avail of your help with the following question: can I use any usb or wireless external keyboard with my Macbook? Thanks for your help.

yep Macs recognise any keyboards whether they be USB, IR (USB dongle) or bluetooth and can be used right away.

if its a PC keyboard the windows key will act as the command key and the control and option (alt) keys are switched.

its recommended that you use Apple keyboards as the modifier and feature (exposé, dashboard, volume etc) keys are specific to Mac OS X.

Thanks very much for such a prompt and complete answer RichThomas. Best regards. Alfy11:apple:
