BackgroundI usually have gotten the newest large phone (5.5” then 6.5” for the XS Max) because of larger battery, bigger screen, and many years it had an additional feature or two (OIS).

This year for the 11 Pro, Apple added additional battery life to both versions. I very rarely needed all of the long life of the big phone and iOS doesn’t make use of the larger display , so I decided this year I’d go down in size since I also have an iPad I carry with me and save some money as well.

I got my 11 Pro last week and started testing the camera. The one thing I noticed was that my fingers were constantly showing up in the viewfinder when holding the phone in portrait orientation. I’m not sure if I need to just get used to the size again or if I’m going to have to exchange this for a Max, but it’s pretty dang annoying. Wondering if anyone else (I guess with bigger hands) has this issue?

tldr; my fingers get caught in the camera with the smaller size

I find the 5.8” a little too small, and the 6.5” a little too big. Solution? The iPhone 11 with 6.1” is the sweet spot in terms of size. I can’t tell the difference in oled vs lcd for day to day use.

If the 2020 iPhone rumours are true, the 5.8" iPhone is going to get even smaller to 5.4", the 6.5" is going to get bigger to 6.7", and the 6.1" size will stay the same.

If this happens, Apple is setting themselves up to please everyone.

I mean they would please everyone if they where all the same specs. I dont see why anyone would want to go from 5.8 to 5.4. Bizarre

iPhone 6.1 oled would be perfect. I’ve been using the iPhone 11 6.1 this week after my wife didn’t want it and took my xs max

u definitely notice the difference going back to lcd. But if I just use the phone all day. I get used to it again

but than i look at the xs max today and it’s like damn. I miss the oled.

so I just picked up iPhone 11 pro max 256gb midnight green from Apple store. Haven’t opened it yet. Full
Price purchase. I envy the oled. I got 14 days to return it.

Not if the 6.1 option continues to be the stripped down model. Personally if true the larger one sounds way too big and the 5.4 one too small. I think that a 6-6.2 is a sweet spot

I couldn't agree more. I wish my 11 Pro was slightly wider / larger and the Max is simply too large to be easily handled for one-handed operation, not to mention pocketability. If there was a Pro with the dimensions of the regular 11, that's the phone I would have gotten.
