I own iWork. Buy I didn't buy it through the App Store. When I go to the App Store it says all the apps are available for purchase instead of saying "installed". Grrr!

Is there a way to get it to see my installs and do it right?

No. If you didn't buy it through the App Store, you don't get to use the App Store's benefits.

I'd agree with the above if it wasn't for installing iWork after updating to lion. After I found pages numbers and keynote avalible to me on my other macs app stores.

Booooooooo!

I think the main reason would be that many of Apple's Apps are not serialized or can be tied to specific purchased. It's trivial to pirate many of Apple's Apps - even on the pro level. I am not accusing anybody of anything but Apple isn't going to accommodate and provide benefits to pirates with the app store.

Not to mention that the binaries are different so they are technically different.
