any way to change 4.3.3 text double vibrate back to single vibrate?

my friends iphone currently has 4.3.3 on it, and he hates the double vibrate whenever he gets a new text, and would prefer to have it back to the original single vibrate. i looked in cydia and saw that vibrafications can possibly change it back, but is there a simple file edit we can do to change back the vibrate?
