Any way to change the default window size in Microsoft Word 2011

I can set all the fonts, zoom levels, etc by editing the normal template but I am unable to figure out how to set word to open at specific window size. It's annoying because it is defaulting to open up basically the whole length of my screen. If anyone knows how to change this it would be much appreciated.

I have the same problem.
There must be a setting in the com.microsoft.Word.plist no?
I'll have a look, but I'm no expert.
