Any way to Connect an HDMI PC to a LG 5K 27MD5KL?

I'm looking at upgrading to an M1 Mini and this looks like the ideal display... except that I also need to connect a work PC Laptop using HDMI. This doesn't seem to be possible but I thought I'd check. I don't need 5K or even 4K on the PC but I'd need something. Will it work or do I need a different display? Thanks!

The LG UltraFine 5K will accept a USB-C DisplayPort alt mode connection for 4K60Hz + USB 2.0.
Therefore, to connect to HDMI, you need a HDMI 2.0 to DisplayPort adapter with a bi-directional USB-C to DisplayPort cable - preferably one that also supports USB.
The LG UltraFine 5K has no buttons so there may be issues with controlling brightness, etc.

LG UltraFine 4K and 5K: Yes you can connect it to Windows computers via DP!!!

Does anybody tried the following adapter from club 3d: https://www.club-3d.com/en/detail/2517/hdmi_to_usb_c_4k60hz_active_adapter_m-f/ It is cheaper and a little bit more handy than the Wacom solution (if it's work and HDMI output is preferred).
