Any way to control iTunes when another app takes focus from Fkey controls?

Any way to control iTunes, even when something else (ie iPhoto) has taken focus, and is now using the “F keys” playlist controls?

It never fails to catch me, it there any way to keep focus of these controls to iTunes, but be able to work in a different app?

Or perhaps a way to augment the controls or even shortcut keys that will only control iTunes?

First thing that comes to mind is use Remote app on iPhone or iPod touch.

You could get BetterTouchTool and use the shortcuts to control iTunes. I have all the iTunes controls on the trackpad so I don't even bother with the F7-F12 keys.
