Any Way to Default Websites to Desktop View?

Most websites do go to the normal site, but a few (ESPN, Amazon, WalMart etc) always go to mobile mode and you have to scroll around to find the "hidden" link to the normal site. Some sites won't even go to the main site even when you click the link to it, it just refreshes back to the mobile site. Is there a way to force every site to just go to the actual site? Maybe a modified file or something to download (I'm on a jailbroken 3GS) if there isn't a normal option?
