I hate the ‘People’ album in iOS.

The last thing I want to see when I open the Photos app are the faces of my friends and family. Prior to iOS 11, it was possible to remove all people from the ‘People’ album and it would just be an empty folder (there was never a way to delete the actual album).

However, in iOS 11 it seems that you can’t completely empty the People album - you have to have at least one person in there. If you attempt to remove that one person, Apple then resets the album and re-scans it and once again populates the folder with all of the people that it finds.

Any chance I’m missing something here? Is there any way to get rid of this album, or at least delete ALL the content from it?

Thanks.
