I've already turned on Reduce Motion but I'm still seeing animations systemwide.. any way to disable them?

What animations in particular do you want to disable?

I use Logic X and I notice there is an animation when the Startup menu and Project menu pops up... and any time I open up a new app, at the top of my head I know that the App Store does this.

nothing's changed in logic since the mojave beta dropped (i use LPX daily, and it behaves as it did previously). i always have 'reduce motion' on, and am not seeing any new system-level animations (except the 'app store' fade in).

Hey fisherking! Yeah... the Startup menu and Project menu in Logic definitely fades in on Mojave for me as opposed to just appearing in High Sierra.

then it's something about your mac, as there's been no update to logic since the mojave beta dropped (and there's no difference here with those windows, which pop up as always on my mac).

EDIT: just a thought. try turning 'reduce motion' off, then back on; reboot perhaps as well, see if that changes anything...

Just tried that, no change..

Probably... I do have Mojave installed on an unofficially supported 'vintage' Mac!

Yup, I don't suspect it's a Logic thing either...

ah, that's likely it. seems the windows are just opening slowly, but (hopefully) everything else works ok.
