Any way to force boot startup disk select?

I hate that I have to hold the option key when I switch between OS's. Is there any way to force the disk select?

System Preferences > Startup Disk

In Windows you can select to boot into Mac OS X via the Task Bar and the Boot Camp icon.
In Mac OS X you can use this little app (BootChamp), seems to be made by one of the mods here. Told you, they have too much time.

you can only select a startup disk but I want it to prompt me for a startup disk everytime.

Yeah I don't want to have it set to reboot into a certain OS everytime, I want to be prompted upon restart or shut-down.
