Any way to get iPod popup when music isn't playing?

Is there a hack that will pop up the iPod controls over an app even when music is paused and not playing?

if your running iOS 4 or higher then you should be able to double tap the home button, swipe sideways and hit play. called multitasking. running 2nd gen with OS 4 jailbroken i can do it no problem

That's only if you have a third-generation. If you have a second generation iPod touch, download iPodPop from Cydia. I'm not sure if it's compatible with iOS 4 yet though.

Yeah, one of the options when jailbreaking a 2g is to unlock all of the multitasking/wallpaper stuff. That's what I did; I actually haven't touched Cydia otherwise.

iPodpop would be good but I posted this in the wrong forum. I have an iPad and iPodpop doesn't work with it.

I know that. But I was giving the OP options if he doesn't want to enable multitasking.
