Any way to import apps from ipad to itunes?

Hi all,

Today I did my semi-annual reformat and reinstall on my pc. I was smart enough to put my itunes media folder on my external hard drive this time, so all my movies and music were very easy to reinstall. It seems, however, that apps are saved on your local pc, and not on the ipad.

I'd love to find an easy way to plug in my ipad and have it scan the apps and download them all for me... but it doesn't seem to be so easy.

Anyone know a good trick to do this?
