Any way to increase Volume when converting movies?

i was wondering if there is any way to increase the volume when i convert movies and what is the higest quality? right iam using 2pass. is that the best one?

It's not easy finding a program that will do that. I use HandBrake which seems to have an option to do it. The other thing I do is change the volume setting in the movie itself while in iTunes. You can increase the volume by right clicking on the file and clicking "Get Info" -> "Options" and then you'll see volume adjustment.
