Whenever I connect my MBP to an external display and set that external display as primary, my wallpapers are swapped around.

I find this extremely annoying and stupid, I want each physical display to have its own distinct wallpaper, without it changing whenever the primary display is reassigned. Those displays have different resolutions and aspect ratios, and therefore their wallpapers are specifically chosen based on what looks good on them.

I'm almost certain that macOS used to work like this many years ago, but for some reason they decided to change it to this current awful behavior at some point??

Anybody know of any way to fix this? Or at least some kind of workaround? (a third party app, some scripting, ANYTHING.......)

Nothing, uh?

I can't be the only one annoyed by this baffling behaviour...
