iPod any way to know how how much battery life left?

is there a program that can tell me how much battery life is left in an ipod?

Theres only one real way to tell how much original capacity is left on an iPod: fully charge it, and play it continuously without interaction until it dies. I'd repeat it after that to get an accurate reading, as the battery may have needed a calibration.
