Is there any way to make chapter marks every 5 minutes in FCPX automatically?

Do you have Compressor? Try the "Add markers using a chapter marker list" tip. Making the text file shouldn't take too long.

I do have compressor as well.

It's a hack - but - Add a Placeholder with 0% Opacity, a five minute duration, and a chapter marker at the end. Then Copy & Paste end-to-end as many copies you need.
