i wanna make ringtones but i was wondering if i can use garage band ..i heard people talk about it but i was wondering if someone could help me out

Get your audio, go to Export as Ringtone, select <40 seconds of it, and it'll send it to iTunes.

how do the garage band apps sound on the 3g iPhone? they dont sound that good on the original.

I used garageband, and I thought I'd modify the levels of my ringtone so the bass didn't blow out the iPhone's speakers.. I quickly found that garageband adjusts the levels during the export! (lowers bass levels, etc)..
