Any way to program action button to end a workout?

Coming into the second winter of using the Ultra and by far my biggest frustration is having no way to end a workout by pushing a button and having to rely on the touch screen. Has anyone come up with a way to do this via shortcuts or some other option I haven't though of? I tolerated it last winter and this hot and humid summer telling myself I had to give it a year of use to decide whether to stay with it or switch back to a real fitness watch and after 13+ months and over 3k miles ran overall it hasn't been a terrible experience. But it now appears that Apple has no real interest in the fitness side of things and with the announcement that we may some day get topo maps viewable on the watch but only if you are carrying your phone I've pretty much convinced myself to grab a Suunto or Garmin on Black Friday. I'm also still on OS9 with no intention of upgrading to 10 unless it would allow me to use a button to end a workout.

Thank you so much! I have more or less given up on Siri, but I just went outside and gave it a try and it worked great. Although I'd still rather be able to do it with a button this would get me by.
