Any way to remove the labels above the dock?

Hi, ok, i have just upgraded to leopard this morning, everything is great, apart from those irritating labels above the dock icons, I know what all my icons do, if i didnt, they wouldnt be in my dock!

is there any way to remove the labels?

i have an app that is supposed to customize the dock, but there is no option to remove this setting... any suggestions for a program which would do it?

I can't remember, but didn't Tiger do this as well?

Edit: Just checked on a Tiger machine, and yes it did.

my tiger machine certainly didn't, this is quite strange....
