Long story short, I somehow seem to have damaged my Recovery-10.9 partition after I removed my Bootcamp partition and resized my Macintosh HD on my iMac.

Basically, now when rebooting I can still see the Recovery-10.9 partition after holding the "option" key and I can Command-R into it but when the spinning gear comes up the system just shuts down right away every time. I can boot into my 10.9 HD fine though.

Short of reinstalling 10.9, is there any way to repair the recovery partition?

I found a lot of info on doing it for prior versions of OSX but not for 10.9, and the methods I came across look quite involved/complex.

Look at post #8 in this thread.

That program did the trick. I just ran it (I already had the 10.9 installer on hand) and it worked like a charm. It took under 5 minutes in total. I tested it afterwards and I'm now able to boot into my recovery partition perfectly.

Thanks!
