 I've found all my files that were wiped after my restart by using a free disc recovery but they are all now in RAW format, the disk recovery want $90 which I haven't got, is there any way to retrieve these myself? Thanks

First, I doubt that they are in the RAW format produced by digital cameras, so you need to be clear about that. I assume what is meant is that the data in the files is present in binary form, but other information is gone.

I strongly suggest you find the $90, before you muck up the data completely.
