I recently tried recording an interview directly into iMovie. After approximately 30 min., iMovie crashed. I was able to find the .mov file in the "Recovered files" folder in the trash after restart, but it won't load in QT. I tried File Juicer on it. It retrieves a still frame for each frame, as well as a couple of unplayable .mpg files.

I'd really like to salvage this file somehow. Anyone have any suggestions?

Right click on the project, if you still have it, and choose "show package contents", navigate to where the clips are wherever you find the media folder. Try to open the files with quicktime or VLC, if it works then you still have the footage, if not then most probably, you will have to forget about those thirty minutes.
