I realize that I could watch Netflix via the channel on my Roku, and usually I do. But my husband and I have been watching Chinese tv shows to improve our Mandarin, and he only wants to watch things that allow us to have both English and Mandarin subtitles on the screen at once. I found a Firefox extension (Subadub) that will make Netflix do just that, and obviously I can't use it on an app/Roku channel.

We just tried it last night, though, and discovered the hard way that Netflix no longer allows itself to be streamed via Airplay; the picture just goes black every time we try.

For now we can just watch it on the laptop, but is there any kind of extension, hack, etc that will force Netflix to be mirrored to my TV via Roku like everything else on my screen? (I would also take ways to hack the subtitles on Roku Netflix; I have no idea if Rokus can be jailbroken but I'd be game for trying it.)
