I normally back up and restore my iPad every now and then to get rid of that pesky "others" section which gets bigger and eats up my storage over time.

However, I decided to set up my iPad as new yesterday because I had quite a lot of apps on it and wanted to use this opportunity to do some housekeeping.

Unlike Telegram, my iMessage app has no messages inside. Is there any way I can get it to mirror my current history on my iPhone? It doesn't really affect me (using it a lot less these days) but it will have implications for when I upgrade my iPhone later this year.

At least whatsapp lets me back up the chat history to iCloud. Why not iMessage?
