Any way to use remote to control recording software?

hi there,

i have a macbook pro with logic/garageband/audacity etc and i am going to be doing some live recording, just stereo tracks from a mixer.

What i was wondering is if there is any software that supports using the remote to put in track marks in the recording?

That way i can just hit record and at the end of the song, press a button and it would insert a marker?

I can do this on my pc but i have not found a way to do this on a mac yet.

any ideas?
