So I'm on the lookout for changing my family's wireless plan. Here's what we have right now.

AT&T Mobile Share 20GB (with 25% FAN) - $75/mo, 2 lines - $15/line/mo. TOTAL before taxes is $105/mo

I'm trying to do two things. Buy a new iPhone 11 Pro for my wife and add a line for my oldest kid (who has a SIM-less iPhone 6). I would prefer to buy the new 11Pro outright with my Visa card to get the extra 2 years of warranty.

Here's some options. Buy the 11Pro for $1150 and put my wife's SIM into it to avoid the activation fee. Add a new line for my daughter's iPhone6 for $15/mo. Without any promotions, my new plan would be $120/mo plus taxes.

But I'm seeing all sorts of Black Friday deals that are giving $450 in credits if you buy the iPhone on a installment plan. That's nice, but then I don't get the Visa extended warranty.

Another option would be to switch to Xfinity Mobile for all three lines an save a ton ($60/mo for 10GB shared), provided I keep my Xfinity cable plan (still have another year under my current deal). They're offering $250 in bill credits, but there's the same requirement of doing an installment plan.

Does anyone have any insight into what AT&T loyalty can/will offer? Also, does Xfinity Mobile give better deals than what they advertise? Do they negotiate with potential new customers?

Thanks.

AT&T must have read this and found me. Minutes after posting this, I get an email saying that they increased my data plan an additional 15GB. Awesome right? NOT - they also increased my plan price by $15.

So I'd end up paying more money for more data that I wouldn't ever use. Great. Next time, how about sending me an email asking if I want to change my plans.

Had to waste an hour on chat last night to get them to change my plan back.

Anyways, I'm still looking for options.

AT&T Loyalty department‘s offer at one point was $450 off the point, with 2 year contract. I believe that was for unlimited data accounts. I’m not positive. I have Xfinity Mobile but I don’t think they have unadvertised deals.

Another option is to switch to T-Mobile. T-Mobile via Costco has a $700 rebate or $500 rebate with trade in.

If you are satisfied with AT&T's coverage and are ok with not having your iPhone paid though your bill (NEXT, or JUMP...) then I would look at the AT&T Prepaid. I went from PostPaid AT&T 5 lines sharing 20 GB of data for $172.00 (After taxes, No phone payments) to Prepaid 5 lines 8 GB each line $140.00 total. I did this during a Double data promo so each line has at least 16 GB and 8 of those can rollover. I have seen no coverage or usage difference. But you do give up the B1G1 deals and currently you can't connect your LTE Apple Watch. I buy Prepaid cards online at Target and lower my bill even more. Depending on their sales I pay around $124.00 a month.

Just to close out this thread, I figured I'd update it one last time.

I ordered a new iPhone 11 Pro for my wife and 3 SIM cards for me and the kids. I set up two Goggle Voice numbers for porting for the kids' phones.

We'll get $250 in bill credits (over two years) for the iPhone and three $50 gift cards from doing BYOD for the other lines.

We should be able to stay under 10GB (I'll have to use wifi or XFINITY when I'm at work), so $60/mo plus $11 in taxes is a big savings compared to my current situation ($122/mo for 20GB shared on 2 lines).

Thanks for the suggestions.
