Any word on a Yahoo Messenger app?

I loathe AOL for indescribable reasons. Does anyone know if a yahoo messenger one is in the works?

Yahoo isn't much better than AIM, I've only ever received SPAM IM's from Yahoo. That said kind of surprising how there wasn't a Yahoo app from the begnning, Yahoo is pretty well incorporated into the iPhone already, but then again the Yahoo Messenger app for the Mac is about 2-3 years behind the one on the PC.
