I have some money, and with that, I'd like to purchase a few applications, but I can't because of the current problems. Any word on it?
 
It's not a bug. It's seems that there are laws here in Canada that make it so Apple can only sell you apps with a credit card. Also note that you will be charged taxes on App Store purchases.
