Just a quick question.

I know it's a longshot, but has anybody been able to successfully get an Apple store to give a different color iphone during an exchange because their original device has a defect?

At the end of the month i'm going to go to an Apple store to get my iPhone 5 exchanged because the battery is horrendous, and would like to try to get a black one instead of a white one. I know it's most likely NOT going to happen, but I was just wondering if anybody has been able to do this.

I don't think they will do this. I asked them if they could give me an unlocked one and they declined.

Won't happen. Has something to do with SKU's/model numbers.

Fair enough. I work a cellular company and we kind of go through the same deal. The only way it'd be a different color is if there were absolutely 0 chance of getting the same color.
