Ahhhh dude that sucks, I'm sorry.

I handled mine like a delicate egg until I got my back skin from Best Skins Ever. I have a sleeve case for traveling but with the skin on it I can set it down around the house and not worry about scratches. Navy blue leather smart cover for the front.

on closer look it seems that you dropped the ipad on concrete while riding a bike or something. please inform us about what happened.

^^^ I really feel bad for that guy in the other post - with the scratched up back - but the sceanario and how he explained what happened is hilarious ...

Below that photo there's a button saying 'report abuse'. I nearly clicked it.

Ha! I cringed when I saw it too. My OCD made me want to elbow my husband when he put a corner of my iPad 2 down onto a granite countertop too fast last night. I think I'd lose it if it flew off my car roof. :D

That being said -- FINALLY our Gelaskins have arrived from Canada, so we're having an install party for our iPad 2 backs tonight.

Haha this. Couldn't help but feel bad and laugh.

But at least he says the screen is perfect!

I've got a few scuffs on the back, but that's to be expected if you sit it down. The Smart Cover keeps the front safe, so I'm good. I would love to see one of those made for the iPhone 5.

this thread has be freaked out. Been placing my ipad on a magazine rather than on the hard desk / table.

The smart cover is worthless. What is the best case / sleeve option?

ive never even used my ipad 2 without bodygaurdz. i would recommend a skin sheild for any one using an ipad. it takes that stress of scratching it way.

Bodyguardz front and back with smart cover. I'll never scratch mine... now denting is another issue. My first one got dented even though it was in this huge case it's entire life. Aluminum....

Mine had a scratch that size next to the 3G black strip brand new out of the box. I pulled of the plastic and noticed it immediately. The backlight bleed is much less than my first one, though, so I'll live with it.

The first thing I did when I bought my iPad was to purchase a case. The second was to get Ghost Armor on the front and back of the iPad.

I now have some peace of mind to know that my iPad is fairly well protected from most wear and tear type of usage that could result in scratches.
