I have my MBP set to turn off the screen after 2 minutes, not require a password for 15 minutes and not "put hard disk to sleep when possible", If I walk away for say 10 minutes or so I see the boot screen for a fraction of a second. Like so:
It doesn't seem to affect performance or cause any problem, just curious as to what it's doing. I never saw it in any earlier OS versions.
My theory is that it has something to do with Catalinas 2 volumes communicating with each other.
