Are there any drawbacks? This worried me a bit, is this wise to do security wise? So if somebody somehow changes my iCloud account I'm locked out of the mac for good?

I looked for an option to change after installation, and didn't see one. I may have missed it, though.

If I go to my account in Users & Groups and select "Change password" I have an option to Use the iCloud password, not sure if this is the exact same thing as the install option but my guess is yes. I went ahead and enabled the use of the iCloud password and now I have an option to "Use separate password" so I guess that answers it.
