I am now using google search, google now and chrome to replace both Siri and weather app and of course Safari and Google maps, and I would love to switch to the gmail app too but unfortunately it does not accept me accounts.

Anyone else find this?

Yeah, I find this. It's mostly coincidence in my case, I think. I use an iPhone for my work phone, and a Samsung Note for my private phone. I've been using a gmail mail account for years, accessing it for years through Mail on my iMac and through a web browser on my MBA. I've been using Chrome for a long time on my Macs. Also, I use Google Docs a lot for work stuff, collaboration etc.

I just got so used to the Google products, despite being a Mac user since about 1999, that when I finally started using an iPhone for some things last year, it was natural to use them there.

Just the way things worked out for me. *shrug*

Nope, only google voice so i get unlimited everything for $30/month and google music so I don't have to fill up my phones paltry 16GB with music.

I do use google as my go-to search engine, but at this point, so does everyone else. Anyone remember altavista?

I use google search, maps and my new favorite app google now. Lately the google apps are the best designed apps. Never really used them much before but I love them.

Alanis Morissete would appreciate your use of the word "irony", however it's not really that surprising, I use FF instead of Safari, VLC instead of QT, Office instead of Pages... People should use what works for them.

So Siri isn't an Apple product? That is some fuzzy logic you have there. At least Google has improved YouTube since they bought it.
All I'm saying it not a google creation, I don't feel google's influence with YouTube.

the YouTube app is crap. They don't play HD. I use the YouTube website and google search now and then. Safari is fine for me.

If you made this a poll I would bet that most of us (I'd guess about 65%) use some sort of google product on our iphone.

I use Gmail App, Chrome, and Maps very frequently.

Although I have Chrome, Google Now, Maps and YouTube installed, I seldom use those applications.

You mean other than the mobile app following Google's new UI, supporting Google login, etc? The website has changed drastically since Google took over allowing actual discovery which really wasn't possible before. And Google now lets users have feeds of content. Yeah, Google hasn't done anything to Youtube.

I use youtube, although it has such a hard time working well on my phone, so I prefer to use my laptop when watching youtube. The buffering is awful on my phone no matter what I do.

Other than that,
Yahoo for weather
Apple mail app
Apple Maps or Navagon
Safari

I dont have anything against google, just found that is what works for me.
