I bought this:

Speck Candyshell Grip Case
(My favorite color is red!)

Mine. $7 on eBay. Now selling for less than $5.50.

All I was looking for was protection from the surfaces I'll be setting my phone on (protection from scuffing issues) and as minimal and see through a case as I could get. This is my first purchased iPhone so I want to see what I bought.

My 5 is the Black/Slate by the way.

Has a separate "kick-stand" if you're into that, offers better protection for the front of the phone IMO.

There's a two or three mm. lip of silicone and hardshell that should protect the screen from impact unless you drop it in the rocks or something. If it hits the concrete face down, the screen wont get scratched or gouged with this case.

I purchased something almost exactly like this at best buy. It's made by rocket fish. I just wanted protection from scuffs but I don't want to cover up the beauty of the phone. I am very happy with the case so far!

How is the headphone opening on the case? Can you seat a headphone set into the jack fully without removing the case?

I dont have the case just yet. BUT do not consider ordering this case anymore. Many are reporting that the volume buttons do not work with the phone and that the case can cause scratches on the phone itself. I emailed Switcheasy to cancel my order...
