iPod Anybody got their 5g yet?

I ordered mine a little late in the day on the 12th Still processing the order.

Has anybody actually got their hands on one/bought one yet and have it at home?

Just curious if anybody's order has a status other than "processing".

I ordered mine within 5 minutes of it being listed on the Apple Store site... mine's listed as shipping "on or before 10/21".

So I don't think ANYONE will have one until late next week, at the earliest.

I could have sworn that Steve Jobs said in the webcast that the new iPods wouldn't even be in the stores until 'mid next week,' which would mean circa October 19-20.

The Apple Store here in Charlotte quoted me an ETA of the LAST week of October... possibly not before 10/30.

I don't think you're going to find one in a Store before you could receive it directly from Apple.

The folks at the Apple Store here in Charlotte again told me that they are not realistically expecting any of the 5g iPods in until the week of 10/24 at the EARLIEST. They even asked me to bring mine in when I receive it, so that they can see what one looks like in person.

Sorry if im repeating what someone said, but in the webcast, SJ said that they would not be shipping or in stores untill next week. Shipping as in from the far east, so i dont know how long that means delivery times are...
